TWR-Australia has been an invaluable part of TWR’s ministry in Asia since 1985. Over the years, its focus has shifted from being a program producer, to being a project initiator and contributor to TWR-Asia. TWR-Australia is most closely connected with TWR-Asia, and has a special focus on Indonesia, China, India and Australia. TWR-Australia cares about needs in other countries and will respond to partnership opportunities as they arise.
The ministry is very experienced in Christian community development and social transformation, and this is pushing TWR-Australia towards more holistic projects. The vision of TWR-Australia is to be an effective partner with TWR by supporting its global ministry and strategic plans.
TWR-Australia has four strategic objectives, which are underpinned by TWR’s mission and vision. These are to:
- actively participate in the development of missions strategies and their implementation;
- raise increasing levels of financial support for TWR’s global vision and mission;
- generate and encourage ongoing prayer support for TWR’s global projects;
- ensure sustainability of TWR-Australia’s ministry across a number of important dimensions.
TWR-Australia seeks to achieve these goals through well-constructed and strategic partnership projects that will make a difference in the lives of as many people as possible in the countries where the projects are implemented.
