TWR-Hong Kong has been a key partner since broadcasts to Asia first began in 1977, and started by producing programs in Mandarin, Hakka, Swatow and Cantonese.
These programs were very well received, and listeners responded with questions through letters – and more recently, email. Over the years, the audience relations department in Hong Kong faithfully responded to every letter and email received, and played an important role in connecting with listeners, building relationships, and helping them grow spiritually.
In 2008, TWR-Hong Kong took on the area of program scheduling for TWR’s Chinese ministry. They also began to take on greater responsibility and played a more creative role in program production. The audience relations department also grew to meet the needs of listeners who responded to our programs, using modern means of communication such as text messaging and online chatrooms.
The team in Hong Kong also continues to promote TWR’s ministry through newsletters and websites. In addition, they also share about TWR’s ministry during Sunday services and prayer meetings in churches to pastors and listeners.
TWR-Hong Kong celebrated 30 years of broadcast into China in 2007.
