Current Ministry Initiatives
TWR-Nepal broadcasts programs via the 200 or so local FM stations to address the needs of the people, and the issues they face.
In addition to radio broadcasts, TWR-Nepal also reaches the community by helping women aged 15 to 65 years learn to read and write through two adult literacy centers. In addition, unemployed women are also being trained in tailoring and sewing in centers that are run by TWR-assisted churches.
TWR-Nepal is committed to nurturing and equipping the local churches across Nepal, and to preach the Good News to listeners. Partnerships with FM stations will continue to be built and strengthened. Use of different media such as CDs and mp3 players are also being explored, to make God’s word more accessible to the people.
Critical Needs
- Holistic Care Program
Educate people in Nepal about health issues, and the prevention of HIV/AIDS. - Evangelistic programs in Tamang, Tharu, Nepali and Bhojpuri
Bring Bible programs to those who prefer to communicate through the spoken word, specifically, the Tamang and Tharu people groups. - Distribution of Bibles and radios
Bring the Word of God to the rural poor, to church leaders, to those in prison and those who cannot afford to purchase a Bible or radio for themselves. - Project Hannah in Nepal
Comfort, console, encourage women in Nepal by sharing the true hope found only in Jesus Christ. - Literacy and Skills Development Training for Women
Support the training for the uneducated, poor and unskilled Nepalese women, to give them a better life and share the Gospel with them. - Children’s Ministry
Join hands with TWR-Asia and Awana International to reach children in Nepal for Christ.
