Introduction
The Philippines is an archipelago comprising more than 7,000 islands that stretch from the south of China to the northern tip of Borneo. It is home to about 180 languages and dialects. Its population of about 94 million is predominantly Christian and Roman Catholic. However, worldly values depicted in popular media have had a negative impact, with many young people adopting behaviors and attitudes that they may not fully understand.
Premarital sex, unwanted pregnancies, rising drop-out rates and drug abuse are all symptoms of this negative impact. Through a combination of FM radio programs and on-the-ground follow-up, TWR seeks to minister to the women, youth and children of the Philippines.
