Current Ministry Initiatives

HopeSMS
HopeSMS is TWR-Asia’s daily Bible verse ministry in Singapore, in partnership with Back to the Bible. Bible verses are sent daily via SMS to subscribers in Singapore (in both English and Mandarin). Recipients include local believers, Chinese and Indian migrant workers, as well as pre-believers. The goal is to engage people with the word of God daily and spur them to start day with Christ. Many have also responded and engaged with us via SMS.

HopeFM
TWR broadcasts Sounds of Hope by Dr Charles Stanley (In Touch Ministries) to commuters and listeners in Singapore on HopeFM 102.3, every weekday morning from 7.30am – 8.00am. The program is also able to reach parts of Indonesia and Malaysia. Listeners have written in to express their appreciation for this ministry, and how it has helped them grow in their faith.

Media distribution
As part of TWR-Asia’s effort in coming alongside local churches and ministries, and providing a media element to augment their ministry, TWR-Asia’s Singapore ministry has made available audio Bible programs in portable media devices (such as mp3 players and solar powered Megavoice units) to reach migrant workers and needy heartlanders.

HopeCALLS
This is the working title of a planned phone-in system that will allow users to access a daily devotional message. The aim is to provide the local Church with a wider range of ministry tools and services to assist them in reaching out to the body of Christ, and create platforms that churches and others can tap into, to benefit their congregation and the community they serve. The hope is that people will call in and be encouraged through the devotional despite their busy schedules.

Women’s Ministry
TWR-Asia’s Singapore ministry is in prayerful discussion and planning to begin Project Hannah’s ministry in Singapore in 2011, beginning with local church participation for a prayer initiative for women worldwide.
