TWR-Asia Golf Challenge 2012
July 6, 2012
TWR-Asia will be holding our first-ever Golf Challenge on Friday, 3 August 2012, at the Lake Course of Raffles Country Club (Singapore). The Guest-of-Honor for this event is Mr. Tan Chuan-Jin, Minister of State for Manpower and National Development.
The proceeds from this event will go towards supporting TWR’s ministry in South Asia, reaching out to over 1.6 billion people in India, Nepal, and the surrounding countries (Operation World, 7th Edition, 2010).
“I used to have many bad habits such as drinking and smoking. To feed these habits, I would sell valuable things in the home and steal my wife’s wages. When I started listening to your program, God touched my heart. I experienced great change in my life, and gave up my bad habits. Indeed, the message of Jesus is a great blessing in my life!”
— Anand, a TWR listener in India
Many in South Asia face similar struggles, such as poverty, conflict, persecution, and addiction. TWR seeks to make a difference by broadcasting biblical content to minister to their spirit, and carrying out holistic projects in areas stricken by poverty and disease. Men, women, and children are responding to the love of God made real in their lives – through community health education sessions; skills and literacy classes; relief efforts; and the good news of the gospel.
This outreach to South Asia costs US$500,000 annually. We ask that you would pray and consider partnering us in reaching out to the less fortunate in South Asia.
There are a variety of ways that you may support this effort – donations (in cash or in kind); merchandise sponsorships; or advertising with us. If you enjoy golf, do consider taking up a flight in support of this cause. More details may be found in the registration / response form.
We invite you to prayerfully consider this appeal, and give as you are led.
