Double-minded no more

INDIA—David lived a double life. He would go to church regularly and had a well-paying job, but then he would spend all his money to indulge in alcohol and other vices.
“Although I was brought up in a Christian family, my life was not good at all. I was not only a drunkard, but I also engaged in other vices and went far away from the commandments of God.”
Although his pastor would visit his home to try and counsel him, David would simply turn a deaf ear each time.
One day, David was in the kitchen with his mother while she was listening to one of TWR’s radio broadcasts, Thru the Bible. The program was on the book of James, and a voice spoke:
‘Draw near to God and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.’
David felt as if these words were directed at him, and listened on as the preacher expounded on sin, Jesus’ sacrifice, redemption and salvation. After the program was over, he became restless. He needed to know more.
After three days of listening to the programs, David realized he was stuck in his sin and only Jesus could save him. David repented and turned to Jesus to be his Lord and Savior.
“I started taking an active role in church activities, such as conducting youth meetings where I encourage youth to commit their lives to God. God chose me to proclaim His name. Please pray for me as I share the gospel with others.”
