Hated by all for His name’s sake

A dear sister in Indonesia faces persecution for her faith. Here she pours her heart out in this letter addressed to our team.
I was not a Christian, but God chose me to be his faithful child. My parents, brothers and sisters were against me when I became a Christian as it is against our culture and also the religion of my ancestors. But I was already 25 years old and was able to make my own decision. I also decided to marry my husband in the church.
It was a very difficult time for me as everyone hated me and treated me badly. Eventually, my family kicked me out too. But God is faithful; he introduced me to a new family who had the same faith. They introduced me to YTWR with the Indonesian TTB (Thru The Bible) program. It is through this program that I learn the Word of God. Today, I have a great family and my husband treats me well. I respect him and we only fear the Lord. I am grateful that God has chosen me to experience his love. Praise the Lord for his word strengthens my faith and I believe that God is with us forever.
“And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name’s sake, will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life.” Matthew 19:29 (NIV)
