CHINA — TWR has a variety of programming designed to appeal to different segments of the listening audience. Take, for example, Popcorn, a Mandarin program designed for children in China.

This program focuses on a different theme each week, presenting the biblical perspective on topics such as “What Do I Depend On?” “Giving My Best” and “Love Is Accepting.” To reinforce the message, an entire week is devoted to each topic, which is presented from different angles. Stories are told in an engaging manner to capture the young audience’s attention.

So it was a surprise when the Popcorn production team learned that one of the program’s long-standing listeners is actually a middle-aged gentleman.

“I am 52 years old, and I have listened to your programs for the last 10 years. I used to listen to your shortwave broadcasts, and these days I listen to your programs over the Internet. My favorite programs are Children’s Bible Stories, Popcorn, Joyful Island, Thru the Bible, Insight for Living and Shepherd the Lambs.

“I like your programs! They help me to know the Lord more and are very helpful in my ministry as a Sunday-school teacher.

“I thank God for allowing me to be involved in shaping these young lives he has entrusted to me. I also thank you, brothers and sisters at TWR, for the spiritual food that you broadcast every day. It must be challenging work! May God bless you for the work that you do.”

Praise God for this secondary audience that also benefits from the children’s programs!
