The Voice of Hope
March 13, 2015
ERITREA — “I am a 35-year-old man partially paralyzed because of a severe stroke. My family and friends tried to do whatever they could to comfort me. Unfortunately none of them could reach my deep emotional turmoil and suffering.
“One day a friend of mine came with a different approach. Even before my stroke, he used to invite me frequently to join the spiritual fellowship and listen to the radio ministry of TWR. He kept on saying that the only hope and comfort is to come to the God of mercy. I began to follow the broadcast. Gradually my heart began to long for the voice of hope. My hope in the almighty God raised me above my tribulations.
“God’s Word has the power and the authority to rule over challenge and situations. I received comfort and hope when reading the verse in the Bible that says, ‘Be still and know that I am God.’ I realized that the stillness was something that God wanted to do inside my heart.
“Now, months later, my bed is turning to an altar of praise where I always meet God. I can turn to him, hear his voice and catch the fragrance of heaven.”
